| Philippe Starck was born on 18th January 1949. One of the most renowned French designers, Starck’s designs extend to consumer goods like chairs and tooth brushes that are mass produced; but his New Style Design stretches to houses and amazing interior designs.
Philippe Starck was educated in Ecole Nissim de Camondo in Paris. He opened a design firm, his first and this was recognized for its expertise in inflatable items. In 1969 along with Pierre Cardin, Philippe Starck became the art director of the organization.
Philippe Starck’s designs are not the expensive or provocative kind, but are all household goods that could be used and bought by an ordinary person. He himself is involved in the marketing and producing of these goods. The products that are created by him are organic and streamlined and made of materials that are combined in an extraordinary blend of chrome, plush fabric, aluminum, plastic, stone and glass. He makes household daily use items like juicers and tooth brushes for Alessi. |
